Products and Pricing

We supply quality fresh local fish. We only buy fish from Whitby and Scarborough markets that are situated in our area. We buy and sell all species caught within our area and can acquire other produce, crabs, lobsters, prawns, smoked salmon, sliced etc. if required by you the customer. Our pricing policy is an automatic mark up price, with this we can ensure you the customer are not being overcharged and can create a stable pricing as we have.

Services

We are only because of you, the customer. Our policy is to ensure our quality is received by our customers on a daily basis. We work with our customers to encourage and introduce all species of fish we currently produce. We aim to please. With this we receive your order, if we don't produce it, we find it. There are around five wholesalers in our area that specialise in shellfish, farmed fish and wet fish to which we can utilize, either knowledge or produce so we can maintain customer's orders. We then deliver it; we cover all purchases and invoice you all in one. One stop shop. It can take us many phone calls and a lot of time to sort out an order but the effort we put in is to ensure the customer is happy we have then secured you the customer.

the main competition for us is other wholesalers within our area buying in fish from other areas, they then sell a lesser quality fish at a cheaper price and because it was processed in Whitby/Scarborough it is sold as Whitby fish. This then increases the problems for us only paying Whitby prices and producing true Whitby fish. Unlike other quays, Whitby's prices tend to be higher due to the quality and standards that our fishermen ensure. We have on occasions had to deal with our customers informing us that they believe we are overcharging Whitby fish, to answer this we as them to look at the quality of our produce and compare it to the said Whitby fish. We know our quality stands above other fish.
